June Waste & Environment

June Waste & Environment AB is an environmental and waste management company owned by the municipalities of Jönköping, Habo, and Mullsjö. Since 2018, we have been responsible for waste collection, sludge emptying, and the operation of sorting yards for residents in the three municipalities.

June Waste & Environment is an exciting workplace where you, as an employee, get the chance to work for a better environment. We operate based on our core values – engagement, respect, and responsibility – which are a natural part of how we work together every day. We see all employees as an important part of our success. There is a strong commitment and a shared desire to work for a more sustainable future. Increased environmental requirements and digital transformation present new challenges to meet societal needs and customer demands.

About the Department

The department for our waste truck drivers currently consists of a dedicated and close-knit group of nearly 60 men and women. Together, we are responsible for the collection of household waste in Jönköping, Habo, and Mullsjö. We are now looking for more professional and reliable drivers who want to contribute to our important community mission.

Job Responsibilities

As a waste truck driver, you will have a varied job where you work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues. You often work in pairs, but sometimes you are responsible for a truck on your own. The tasks include the collection and inspection of household waste, primarily from private individuals. You will have the vehicle system EDP Mobile to assist you with information throughout the day. You are also responsible for ensuring that the vehicles are in good condition, which includes daily inspections and cleaning.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is responsible, meticulous, and eager to do a good job. You have a positive attitude, are flexible, and enjoy working with different colleagues on varying routes. Furthermore, you are service-oriented and provide a pleasant experience for our customers. Since the work is physical and performed at a fast pace with some walking, you should be in good physical condition and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.

A C driver's license and a Professional Driver Qualification Certificate (YKB) are required for the position. Previous experience and good local knowledge are advantageous.

We Offer

With us, you will have an independent and varied job with a stable employer. You will have access to a modern and well-equipped fleet of over 50 waste trucks. We operate from Torsvik, where we have fresh, newly renovated facilities. Working hours are weekdays from 06:00 to 14:30. On public holidays and major holidays, work may occur in the evenings and on weekends in connection with operations.

We are conducting interviews continuously during the application period – welcome to submit your application today!
